Aims of the course
We know that people's health is largely determined by a range of factors. Social prescribing looks to address people's needs in a holistic way and aims to support individuals to take greater control of their own health.
Type of course
Social prescribing schemes can involve lots of activities which are usually provided by voluntary and community sector organisations. Examples include volunteering, arts activities, group learning, gardening, befriending, cookery, healthy eating advice and a range of sports.
