Aims of the course
Walking has been described as the perfect physical activity; it’s good for your physical and mental health. It improves mood and sleep quality, and it reduces stress, anxiety and fatigue. Physically active people have up to a 30% reduced risk of becoming depressed, and staying active helps those who are depressed recover.
Type of course
Groups take place across the district every week. The groups are continuous; once you join you can keep attending for as long as you want. Groups welcome people with a range of ability from people who hardly walk at all to people who are already active.
